Description
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice Original French World War Two Tricolor National flag measuring approximately 45” X 82”. The flag looks to be made of a open woven wool, and is each color is made of two panels of fabric, all sewn together with a thin white header. There is not any attachment hardware, so it most likely was intended for hanging on a wall, or would have been attached to a pole using tacks.
Condition is very good, especially considering the age, with the colors retained well. There is some age toning and staining, but that is to be expected of a flag that saw service. There also are some torn areas and possibly moth damage, as expected on a Wool Flag. However it still presents beautifully.
