Highly identifiable type popular in Northern Europe in the 15th-17th century. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.30. Gilt bronze, size 9 1/2 with 2.8mm rounded face band with expanded shoulders. Circular bezel with a floral quatrefoil superimposed on a saltire, representing the cross and the Star of Bethlehem, depicted as a four point star at the time. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
