Rare Pre-Union (Circa 1840) Western Apache or Southern Ute war shirt of brain tanned mountain lion hide, perforated for ventilation, fringed and painted in earth pigments. Eight point star overlay on back with red and blue trade cloth backing. 16” shoulder, 21” sleeves.
