079-1022-8147, Winchester M-1894 Octagon Barrel Rifle in .30 WCF. 90% deep barrel blue, 70% blue on frame with wear to edges and carry wear on the bottom of the frame. 70% blue on magazine tube. Mottled case color on the lever and hammer. Grey patina on butt plate. Fine wood to metal fit, with light bumps, dings and handling marks. It has a period tang sight. 72xxx. Flayderman’s Guide states those made under 147000 were made prior to 1898. Strongly rifle bore with scattered fine surface spots in bore. Fine plus overall.
