079-0422-7802, Colt M-1849 Pocket, Hartford, 5 shot with 5 inch barrel. The grips show about 80% original varnish with a fine coating of linseed oil applied over it. Minor edge loss. The cylinder retains 80% strong scene and overall smooth gray patina. Clear 2 line barrel address with small guard. 178xxx matching on the bottom of the gun, lever, cylinder and the wedge. The bore is rifled witn scattered fine spotting and spots of surface residue. This gun was made in 1860 and Hartfords are so desirable because they were made prior to the Civil War and many were purchased by the south in preparation of the Civil War. Very good overall. The gun works, but it was slightly out of time on one hammer pull.
